EPIC CHRISTIANITY RESTORED

2,000 years ago a POOR Jewish carpenter and his rag-tag fellowship of disciples, followers, and DEAR friends turned the WORLD upside-down...

...rending the fabric of this material world, allowing the glorious light from Another World to magnificently break through into the darkness of our fallen planet....They healed the sick, cast out demons, raised the dead.

Their Captain walked across a stormy lake, and promised that those who were near to him would be able to do even greater things than he himself had done...

2,000 years later...

we who claim this same Jesus to be the Messiah, Savior, and the very Son of God Himself, have somehow bought into a non-disruptive, socially acceptable version of what being a "little Christ" means at this point in history. Gone is the invitation to turn the world upside down. Gone is the power to see it done. Gone is the mythic understanding of the great war that rages for the souls of men, and Gone is the pressing urgency of the mission to fight for their freedom now, this very day. Religious observance becomes duty. Discipline replaces desire. The offer of intimate relationship with God is replaced by the study of a book (which incidentally keeps telling us in story after story that God is after that intimate relationship after all).  two evenings a month together in a "life group" pantomimes the lost dream of a heroic fellowship bound together through all the ages to come...

Something, it would seem, has gone horribly wrong...

IS THERE A WAY BACK INTO THE ORIGINAL STORY?

WELCOME TO LIFE ALONG THE WARRIOR'S PATH

Finding Life

IS there something more? Does Jesus still offer his followers "life to the full", and is God REALLY concerned to see us come "fully alive"?
