written on our hearts

As children we inherently understood that life was meant to be a great adventure - that we were being called out to do something great and meaningful with whatever strength we believed we possessed......and then...

We have sinned, and grown old.
— G.K. Chesterton

finding life

How do we escape back out of the

commonplace and re-enter into the sublime?

There has to be more to this life than just finding a way to survive.  It may sound like a play on words to some, but deep down we all know that there is a difference between "existing", and being "alive".  Is there a way to come alive? Fully, and deeply, and gloriously alive??  Is this even what God WANTS for us, or do you fear that this is religiously re-packaged humanism?

I have come that you might have life, and have it to the full.”
— John 10:10

There's no hope of making any real progress on this journey until this simple, life-changing truth has sunk deep down to the very core of our being. Life - to its utter, extreme, overflowing fullness, where we could not even dream or imagine anything more magnificent - THIS is what God created us for. THIS was his original design.  And THIS is what Jesus is offering us.
